Family run since 1974, The Old Forge Guesthouse is a 200 year old former Blacksmith Cottage situated in the heart of Southwell.
The building itself is full of charm and pretty decor, with each room having its own distinct character. The rear of house offers a peaceful tranquillity with a sunlight flooded conservatory merging into a patio and quaint pond area. The aptly named Minster Room also offers a delightful view of Southwell's primary attraction.
The traditional feel and calming atmosphere of The Old Forge is well complimented by its central location to all of the town's restaurants, pubs and shops.
All that Southwell has to offer is within a 10 minute walk of the front door which faces onto the main street. The closest pub and convenience store is literally over the road and there are many more endearing distractions on the short walk down to the Minster and it's stately grounds.
“We take great pride in being one of the oldest guesthouses in Southwell and have provided a warm and friendly place to stay for our many guests over the years”.
